This document explains how to set up ad slots (and the ad slot groups that contain them) to interface with PulsePoint's header bidding wrapper.


If you haven't already done so, you will need to follow the instructions at Configuring PulsePoint Wrapper and a prerequisite for that step is Setting up Google Ad Manager (formerly called DFP) for PulsePoint Header Bidding.

  1. Navigate to WrapperWrapper Setup.
  2. Select an Ad Slot Group.
  3. You will see one of the following layouts:

    For a new ad slot group:

    For an existing ad slot group:

  4. Click Create New Ad Slot.
  5. You will see the following screen.


    Click (to the right of the Ad Slot Name) to cancel this process at any time.

  6. Fill out the fields at the top of the screen as follows:
    1. Anchor
      Ad Slot Name: Enter the Ad Slot Name. It must comply with the format you configured in Google Ad Manager (formerly called DFP):
      > It must begin with a forward slash, followed by the DFP Ad Manager Network ID. (e.g. 123 in the examples below.)
      > Thereafter, you should enter another forward slash, followed by the Ad Unit Name, which must match the Ad Unit Name that you entered in DFPAd Manager. These names are in the format: [level_1]/[level_2]/.../[level_X]



    2. Anchor
      Define Size/Format:  Select from the drop-down menu by clicking the down arrow.

      > For display ads: Select one or more ad sizes (e.g. 300x600.)
      > For video ads: Select Video.


      To remove an ad size/format, click .

  7. Proceed to define your bidder blocks.


This warning message occurs when you attempt to save an Ad Slot whose name is missing the DFP Google Ad Manager Network Id. Click here for info on proper formatting.
